After 20 years in sports media in central Illinois, I made the jump to the classroom in 2015 as an instructor in the Department of Communication at Bradley University. Since then I have taught the basic communication writing course, digital journalism, basic reporting and sportswriting and announcing. That transition was, admittedly, daunting at first. But I soon found that the passion that I have for writing translated well to my students, some of whom come from across five majors within the department. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take a look around and look at some of the classes I teach and things that I’ve done in my prior life. There are a handful of stories from when I covered FCS college football and the Peoria Chiefs as well as some broadcasting clips when I worked for the team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
